Milk Education are working in partnership with an Ofsted rated Outstanding Multi-Faith Secondary School who cater for students aged 11-18 based in Newham who are seeking to appoint a Trainee Teacher of Geography.

The school are open to application from candidates with either a Degree or A-Level in Geography and a passion for the subject! 

The role of Trainee Geography Teacher will involve teaching Geography from Year 7 - Year 9 with a full time table.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that ignite curiosity and critical thinking.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.

• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and academic excellence.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrich the curriculum.

• Actively participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Passion for education, creativity, and a commitment to student success.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

The successful Trainee Teacher of Geography will receive considerable support from the Head of Department and fellow Geography Teachers to support with all planning and marking.
