Trainee Flour Mill Operative

The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Trainee Flour Mill Operative, for our client based in Harlow at their newly completed state-of-the-art flour milling facility. It's a six-generation family business that makes and sells flour and mixes to all sectors of the food industry including all the major supermarkets. It has an enviable reputation for quality and service especially with regard to modern production methods. Wrights is very much a family business with a "family feel" to it and a friendly culture. The company has been on an exciting and successful growth plan and as well as the new mill has also recently completed a major investment in building a state-of-the-art, purpose-built blending and packaging facility located near its existing site.

Key responsibilities include:

To maintain the optimum performance of the plant whilst ensuring the quality of the product is in line with company standards.

Liaising with the Maintenance Team to ensure preventative maintenance and breakdowns are dealt with in a timely manner.

Ensuring that the highest standards of GMP are maintained throughout the mill.

Follow a positive Food safety culture.

Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times

Key attributes include:

Experience working in a production environment - ideally within a food production environment

Good communication skills

The ability to work flexibly and within a team with a "can do" and "hands-on" approach.

Working Hours:

Rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours a week

Salary:

£24k per annum
