Role: - Trainee Buyer
Salary: - £24,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: - 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 15:30 - Friday
Location: - Birchwood, Warrington
Contract: - Permanent

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Birchwood are currently seeking a Trainee Buyer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.

As the Trainee Buyer, your duties will be: -
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Research new suppliers and make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager
  • Obtain quotes for materials, office and factory supplies.
  • Raise purchase order numbers and update system.
  • Communicate supply/delays with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Responsible for ordering factory & office consumables
  • Any other administration duties

The Trainee Buyer will have the following skills and experience: -
  • Personal drive and eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral)
  • Strong administration skills with experience of Microsoft applications
  • Experience with MRP / ERP would be beneficial.
