Position: Trainee Accounting Technician

Location: Weston-super-Mare office (flexible and hybrid working options available).

Type: Permanent.

Role Overview:

Combine practical training with studying for the AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.
Gain comprehensive knowledge in bookkeeping, accounting standards, and tax through Levels 3 and 4 AAT apprenticeships.
80% work experience, supporting the team with accounting and taxation services for a diverse client base.
Tasks include preparing financial reports, VAT returns, bookkeeping, and assisting in analysis for decision-making.

Training & Support:
Full funding for AAT training and normal salary during class/study time.
Regular salary and performance reviews.

Candidate Profile:
Analytical, methodical, and numerical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable, and organised.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and quick learner of new IT skills.
Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented.
Previous academic success (GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) preferred; other academic achievements considered.

Terms & Benefits:
25 hours per week (5 days, with flexibility).
Competitive salary with annual and regular reviews during training. Please note that the hourly rate is based on 80% active working days (there is 80% active working days and 20% in-person tuition split).
20 days annual leave + bank holidays (increases with service).
