ProTalent are delighted to be working alongside a prestigious accountancy practice located in the vibrant heart of London’s Covent Garden, this firm is in close proximity to the bustling media hubs of Soho and Central London. Specializing in delivering bespoke accounting and financial services, they have carved a niche in the media sector, supporting a wide array of clients within the UK film and TV industry. With a robust team comprising 9 Partners and approximately 60 dedicated staff members in their London office, they offer a dynamic, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.

Role Overview: This firm is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join their Accounts/Outsourcing team, focusing on providing bookkeeping and financial account services primarily to their media client base. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about film and TV production to merge their interests with their career aspirations, all while working towards the AAT qualification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, focusing on media clients.
  • Support in the preparation of creative industry tax relief claims for film and TV production companies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of VAT returns on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Engage in bookkeeping assignments and assist in the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possessing ‘A’ Level/GNVQ (or equivalent) qualifications.
  • Holding 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Mathematics at a minimum grade 6 (B) and English at a minimum grade 4/5 (C) or above.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrating a keen interest in film and TV production.
  • Willing and committed to studying for the AAT qualification, with an understanding that training costs will be covered by the firm. Trainees are expected to attend the office daily, except when on training courses.
