Trade Mark Attorney
Our client is a rapidly expanding Legal 500 law firm renowned for its expertise in intellectual property law. With a strong focus on innovation and client satisfaction, the firm prides itself on delivering exceptional legal services to a diverse range of clients.
The firm is currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Trade Mark Attorney to join the team based in Essex. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified to newly qualified attorney to contribute to the firm's continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting trade mark searches and advising clients on availability and registrability of trade marks
- Drafting and filing trade mark applications
- Handling prosecution matters, including responding to examination reports and oppositions
- Providing strategic advice on trade mark protection and enforcement
- Conducting trade mark portfolio management, including renewals and maintenance
- Assisting with contentious matters, including trade mark oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement actions
Requirements:
- Part-qualified to newly qualified Trade Mark Attorney
- Strong academic background in law, preferably with a focus on intellectual property
- Experience in handling trade mark matters, either gained through previous legal roles or during training
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic advice to clients
