We are currently recruiting for an experienced, time served Toolmaking Team Leader who will progress over time to the Production Manager. The role is to lead the Manufacturing operations of the business to manage and lead a team of highly skilled toolmakers to ensure all production targets are met within a high standard of quality within a high precision environment.

Main Duties:

  • To ensure efficiency and quality of work within the manufacturing of parts
  • To lead, motivate and guide staff, continual training and performance feedback
  • To promote excellent Health & Safety at all times
  • To plan and implement production schedules
  • Process route sheets
  • Schedule sub contract operations and liaise with planning, procurement and Production manager
  • Monitor progression against schedule of work
  • Support the team with issues and technical problems
  • Problem solve and adapt to changing needs of the business
  • Hold regular progress meetings with the current production Manager
  • To schedule Overtime when needed
  • Manage absence and sickness within the team

Skills & Experience needed:

  • You must be a time served Toolmaker/Engineer
  • Experience of leading a team of skilled staff
  • Show the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Customer service/focused
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and positive and proactive approach
  • Basic IT skills, Microsoft word/Excel/Outlook etc.
