Join our client at a leading manufacturing facility near Hitchin, who are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to be a part of their forward thinking business.

Hours: Full-time, 41.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
  • Overtime available

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize manual milling machines, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders.
  • Operate manual and CNC spark eroders, as well as CNC wire eroders.
  • Perform modification and repair tasks on Injection Mould Tools.
  • Manufacture and fit new injection mould tools.
  • Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders.
  • Wire Hot runner systems and conduct fault finding.
  • Work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Toolmaking and high precision machining.
  • Familiarity with fitting and assembly of complex mould tools, including repair.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a small team.
  • Proficiency in general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and fitting.
  • Experience with EDM Wire and spark erosion, CNC Machining skills are advantageous.
