Elevation Recruitment Group's skilled shop floor team are currently recruiting the role of a Press Toolmaker to join a global industrial manufacturer based in Sheffield. 

Position: Press Toolmaker
Location: Sheffield 
Salary: £25,288 -£33,279 DOE
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 06:15 - 16:30 

This Toolmaker role requires someone who is flexible and enthusiastic to complement the existing team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture new tooling as needed in accordance to issued drawings 
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on multi-stage progression tools
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tooling, covering all machining and bench fitting tasks such as grinding, turning and milling
  • Utilise precision measuring equipment to maintain tooling to product parts to drawing tolerance 
  • Conduct thorough testing on tooling prior to release 
  • Monitor power presses during operation to identify and address problems, report requirements for spares/replacements. 
  • Assess the lifespan of press tools and arrange replacement parts or fabrication of new parts as required
  • Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, designing and making special fixtures to fit to tools
  • Adhere strictly to Health and Safety Regulations at all times
