Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield. We are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder on a permanent basis. 

TIG welder
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Flexibility to work the following:
8am - 4.30pm
6am - 2.30pm 
9am - 6.30pm 

You will be expected to work 8am - 4.30pm whilst training. 

Rate:

£14.00 - £17.00 per hour

Overtime available following probation period. 

Overview of the role of the TIG welder:

  • Read and understand technical design drawing specification.
  • Product assembly to drawings specification.
  • Regularly maintain and clean welding equipment (machines and tools) to ensure their optimal functionality and prevent malfunctions
  • Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment 
  • Ability to consistently weld and fabricate
  • Coded welder – Adherence to all HSE Hot Work Safety Systems
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the welding process, such as equipment malfunctions or defects in the welded materials.
  • Maintain records 
  • Perform welding operations using various processes
  • Prepare metal components, ensuring they are properly aligned and set up for the welding process.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years  TIG Weld Experience
