Our very well-established local client is looking for 2 experienced Textile Operatives to join their friendly team based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire working an early shift.

You will be trained in the day to day running of the sampling department and the sampling despatch department. You will be responsible for many aspects of the process of sample making; from cutting carpet to labelling and dispatching of the finished samples and related marketing materials.

Key responsibilities for the Textile Operatives are:

  • Working with the Sample Room Department
  • Cutting of samples
  • Whipping of samples
  • Labelling of samples
  • Wrapping and distribution of unit samples to sales representatives
  • Postal service - labelling and packing customer sample requests for distribution
  • Receipt of all marketing materials and carpets - storing neatly and accurately of all materials
  • Picking and collating marketing materials to order for dispatch
  • Wrapping and preparing all materials for dispatch
  • Loading and posting materials as required
  • Assisting the merchandiser in preparing materials for delivery
  • Use of CRM computer software
  • With a responsible attitude, you will work in a safe and clean environment by ensuring that all policies and procedures are maintained and adhered to at all times
  • You will be responsible for reporting any safety issues promptly to your line manager

Experience required for the Textile Operatives:

  • Previous experience within a similar environment is required
  • You will have a counterbalance FLT licence or have previous FLT experience
  • Basic IT skills are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:30, and Friday 06:00 - 13:30.
