Test Engineer

Test Engineer required for a company who work within the safety equipment industry, who are based near to Cradley Heath, Birmingham.

Previous experience working within the fall protection installation industry and / or testing is extremely desirable, for the role.

An ideal candidate would of come from a roofing / roof construction background and is looking to expand their skillset into a testing of equipment position.

Test Engineer Position Overview

• Working in the Group's Testing & Training Centre, conducting product testing to ensure compliance with Global approvals and standards.
• Testing of all Group products within the entire product portfolio to ensure Global compliance throughout the relevant product life cycle.
• To assist with the design and construction of test rigs to facilitate the above.
• Generation, compilation, storing, and administering of all recorded test results, data sets, photos, and video within our test library.
• Carry out testing of third-party products as required.
• Any relevant and reasonable tasks as required by management.

Test Engineer Position Requirements

• Previous experience working within the fall protection installation industry and / or testing is extremely desirable, for the role.
• A working knowledge of industrial construction and roofing would also be advantageous.
• Must be computer literate and have a practical knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must be used to dealing with people in a professional manner over the telephone and understand the importance of customer service.
• Experience of installation of fall protection products - desirable
• Experience of roof construction or roofing - desirable
• FLT Licence.
• Commutable distance of Cradley Heath, Birmingham.
• Full UK Driving License.

Test Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £23,000 to £28,000 - dependent upon, experience, skills and qualifications.
• Monday to Friday - Full time position - 38 hours a week.
