Job Description

We’re looking for a Test Analyst Contract to join our IT team in Milton Keynes. You will work with the IT Solutions & Development team, Business Analysts and end users to ensure the criteria of testing are fulfilled according to the Development Methodology and Test Strategy.

This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our Milton Keynes office.

The IT Solutions & Development team develops and maintains business applications, websites and reporting for all business units and subsidiaries across Connells Group.

IT Solutions & Development comprises of the following key areas:
  • Application Development
  • Online Development
  • Data Development
  • Business Solutions


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and implementing testing to ensure products / changes are suitable for deployment
  • Executing tests within agreed timescales and release schedules
  • Provide test estimates based on change specifications
  • Write test plans as needed for projects where warranted
  • Logging of defects found and providing feedback against user stories for developers to review
  • Following agreed standards and best practices
  • Actively and positively contribute to meetings for document reviews and during the test cycle
  • Work as part of development teams to add a quality assurance aspect to all discussions
  • Work alongside other Test Analysts on projects where necessary


Experience & skills:

Essential
  • Proven ability to test complex systems
  • Experience of testing websites
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team working mentality
  • Willingness to learn new test technology
  • Ability to work under pressure


Highly Desirable
  • Ability to interrogate databases using SQL
  • Experience of testing feeds to external parties
  • Experience of automated testing


Desirable
  • Experience of Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Testing qualifications such as ISEB Foundation
