Tenancy Sustainment Officer

Permanent, Full-Time - 37 hours per week

Our client has a portfolio of approximately 5000 homes in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. They are passionate about what they do in providing high quality homes and investing in their communities to improve people's lives.

They are looking for a highly customer focused individual with experience of working with vulnerable customers, particularly where you have had to influence changes in their behaviour.

A key focus of the role will be to advise and assist their 'at risk’ and other vulnerable customers to ensure they can access appropriate financial support to sustain their tenancy and live independently. You will support tenants to build their financial capability, promote awareness of their responsibility to pay rent, prevent arrears accruing and manage their tenancy, to reduce the likelihood of tenancy breaches and prevent the likelihood of homelessness.

They take pride in their properties and care about their tenants. You will work to ensure customers understand their tenancy obligations and take action against any breaches.

Some customers may need additional support to sustain their home, it’s important for them to prevent homelessness and you will work to ensure customers receive the help and support they need.

You will have the ability to assess customer needs and support yet also be assertive to be able to balance this against ensuring minimal property disrepair and tenancy issues.

You will also manage referrals of safeguarding from across the Group, undertaking triage / assessments, taking appropriate safeguarding action including maintaining and updating detailed records on CRM.

Please note: A full driving licence is essential for this position
