Temporary Group Accountant

Are you a fully qualified accountant with a knack for numbers and a passion for precision? Look no further! My client, a leading media powerhouse in London, is seeking a diligent Group Accountant to join their dynamic team.

My client is a leading player in the corporate communication space. With operations in over 50 countries this is an exciting place to be.

As an Interim Group Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Group Financial Controller to craft monthly-consolidated accounts, driving the financial strategy forward. You'll play a pivotal role in the expanding team, contributing to my clients upward growth trajectory. There are also a number of confidential, discrete projects that need attention.

Main Responsibilities:

• Streamline monthly and quarterly group reporting through meticulous data collection and consolidation.
• Master the art of intercompany reconciliation, ensuring balance harmony across entities.
• Assist in crafting comprehensive reporting packs and statutory accounts.
• Champion the development and implementation of robust reporting tools and policies.
• Coordinate external audits and dive into key accounting areas like investments and cash flow management.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Hold a full accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CA) with a strong grasp of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and IFRS standards.
• Excel aficionado with a flair for data manipulation and analysis.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for spotting discrepancies.
• Stellar communication skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders worldwide.

This role is hybrid and potentially could sit outside IR35.
