KAP Technical are working with a client who specialise in recovery systems to the food and processing industries, mainly in the UK.

Our client offers design, installation, and commissioning of plants.

Due to the planned expansion of the business, we are recruiting the following.

Technical Sales Manager

The role is to identify, develop and then secure sales to continue to the development of the business. The core skills required will be to be able to take ownership of customer relationships, understand issues that customers are experiencing in the effluent treatment process and then offer cost effective solutions that achieve the discharge consents. It is then key to ensure that these opportunities are developed into sales and then effective handover takes place to the delivery team.

Technical Sales Manager will also have a significant part in the maintenance of the relationship with the customer to the point of commissioning and handover.

  • Initial concept design, to include process to be adopted, equipment identification and sizing, works location and specification.
  • Client liaison and scheduling of works.
  • Direction of technical matters through direct input or by delegation to others during contract delivery.
  • Aid the Directors in monitoring and control of technical resources.
  • Business development including identification of new clients, new areas of work and nurturing existing client relationships and securing tender enquiries.
  • Tendering and sales
  • Conceptual design work, project estimation, contract negotiation.
