Salary - Circa £32,000 DOE
Location - In Office, Accrington
We're supporting a company who revolutionize the water disinfection industry. Established now for almost four decades, they've evolved from a local service provider to a global leader in manufacturing and distributing innovative water disinfection systems.
Because of healthy growth, they're now in a position to bring on-board a creative and motivated Technical Documentation Engineer which is a brand-new position for them. You will work closely with the Product Technologist, Sales, and Service Teams to create, organise, and review management of product technical documentation. Training of their products, use and maintenance will be provided.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Creating and updating product manuals and related technical documentation that explain how to install, maintain, and operate the company's products
- Preparation of supplementary technical documentation for the identification and instruction of remedial and routine product spares placement and for critical replacement component parts and assemblies
- Preparation of manufacturing build process documentation for production operatives under the guidance/supervision of the Product Design Engineer
- Prepare as appropriate, documentation for the purpose of product certification and industry approvals
- Ensure documentation conforms to regulatory and safety requirements
- Control and review documents with respect to ISO/QMS procedures
- Work in conjunction with the Marketing department to ensure consistency throughout technical and non-technical documentation
- Assist sales & marketing objectives for placement of product images on company website, brochures, and presentations
Experiences required
- Competent in creating rendered visuals ideally using SolidWorks Visualize but similar packages will be considered i.e. V-Ray, 3ds Max, Blender, KeyShot, Maya etc
- Proven background in creating technical documentation for: Marketing/Sales/Manuals and In-house Production Activity Processes
- Experience using SolidWorks Composer is beneficial
- Degree in Engineering (minimum HNC/HND) in a Mechanical/Manufacturing discipline or equivalent qualification (industrial experience) is ideal
