NET Recruit are partnering with a market leading engineering business to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join the team in the Basingstoke area. This business is a highly successful, rapidly growing business that has seen exponential success in the last few years due to its effective business strategies, dedicated workforce and excellent customer relationships.

This role is paramount to that process, with the position holder taking a key role in the day-to-day coordination of the team of technicians and handling many aspects of customer relations, requiring the position holder to be vigilant and charismatic, as well as a good problem solver. There is also a requirement for the position holder to provide some technical expertise as and when it is required - this could be advice or knowledge to customers and liaising in detail with technicians. As such, this role requires a technically minded person, with previous experience in a technical (HVAC/Manufacturing/Engineering) role. This will lead to this being a highly exciting and dynamic role within the business with great future potential.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Handling in a timely manner, enquiries from internal technicians, customers, or suppliers to ensure resolutions are found.
  • Using own technical know-how to provide support and advice to relevant parties.
  • Working on projects, running repairs and upgrades in collaboration with the technicians, ensuring they supported to do their job.
  • Communicating with customers to manage their needs and expectations, accordingly, answering their queries and notifying them regarding updates and technician plans.
  • Processing orders and invoices for the business, ensuring information is up to date and accurate.
  • Liaising with relevant parties to ensure that risk assessments and other relevant documentation is provided to technicians.
  • Ordering the required parts and ensuring that deliveries are made on time and escalating those that are delayed.
  • Scheduling technicians for planned and unplanned jobs, ensuring the job sheets have been set to customer and information is loaded onto the system.
  • Escalating any issues or queries that impact customers, technicians, or other internal parties, to the Operations Manager.
  • Checking and processing pricing reports for jobs as they are completed.
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will be an ambitious coordination professional with extensive experience handling scheduling, coordination, and customer relations in a high-volume environment. Additionally, applicants will need to possess excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone. The business requires applicants to have previous experience in a technical role within engineering, a technical or HVAC qualification or have completed a mechanical course, in order to have the technical expertise to confer with the technicians’ team effectively.
  
What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate the business is offering a base salary of up to £35,000, dependent on experience possessed in coordination and HVAC experience/qualifications. This will accompany a strong peripheral package including a competitive holiday allowance, market rate pension scheme and a plethora of other attractive monetary rewards and incentives to be redeemed across a variety of channels.

This role also has the potential to be worked in a hybrid capacity once an initial probationary period has been completed – this is at the managers discretion but will allow some flexibility in your week to ensure your wellbeing is considered at all times. Additionally, you will receive excellent training upon induction followed by periodical training sessions and ongoing materials being provided, to ensure your skills and knowledge of the company and industry are kept up to date. Furthermore, this will be an opportunity where you can progress within the role, to pursue different avenues and take on more responsibility as and when targets are met, which you will have the support of you line manager and team to do so.
