The Opportunity

My client based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne is a growing non-for-profit organisation that is looking for a Project Manager to join their team. They work directly with the scientific and medical community in providing industry essential go-to resources including education masterclasses, advice on clinical trial readiness, and global data provision. They are on the look out for a Technical Project Manager to join the team. You will be based at the head office in Newcastle and travelling outside of the UK would be required. 

Responsibilities

Having recently secured some huge investment from the European Commission to carry out a European and World wide project, they are looking for someone who has experience of helping to shape and build a SaaS based platform, where data from across the world can be stored and used to help support various organisations and people in their field of work.
  • This is a 4 year project (permanent opportunity) and you will be working with some of the most advanced technology experts across Europe, including Google and Microsoft.
  • Over the 4 year project you will play a key role in the specification, design, build, testing and launch of the new platform.
  • Addressing any contractual issues, coordinating project deliverables and milestones, ensuring timely submission of content to the Project Coordinator for reports, and handling any ad-hoc queries throughout the project's duration.
  • Liaising with the European Commission (EC) and Innovate UK, under the UK Government Grant Guarantee, where required.
  • You will have great stakeholder engagement experience, as you will be working with people across Europe.

Office Working

The role will be a hybrid role with 2/3 days based in the office in Newcastle. However, as the project is European based, you would have to be open to travelling around Europe as and when required.
