THE GIG As a Customer Data Platform (CDP) Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the technical aspects of designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust CDP system. Your primary focus will be on leveraging technology to centralize, organize, and activate customer data for various business use cases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to ensure the successful development and deployment of the CDP. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, guiding the team, and ensuring the CDP aligns with the overall business strategy. As our Tech Lead (CDP) you will be responsible for:
  • Provide guidance and leadership for the development, implementation, and optimization of the Customer Data Platform (CDP), ensuring alignment with IT and business objectives while staying updated on industry trends.
  • Design and architect the CDP system to meet business needs and scalability requirements, collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration and adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Lead the development team in coding, testing, and deploying CDP features, working with data and integration engineers to ensure efficient data processing and maintaining data integrity through quality checks and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate third-party tools and services with the CDP, ensuring interoperability with other systems for smooth data flow across the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize CDP performance, addressing bottlenecks and improving data processing speed and latency, ensuring scalability to meet growing demands.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing Customer Data Platforms or similar systems.
  • Strong proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • In-depth understanding of data management, ETL processes, and various database technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
