Join Tradewind Recruitment, an education recruitment agency, in our search for a compassionate and skilled Team-Teach trained Teaching Assistant. We're dedicated to providing outstanding support to schools and students alike.

About the Role:

We're seeking a committed individual to join a SEND school in South Liverpool, providing full-time support in a 1:1 capacity with a highly dysregulated child, in collaboration with another staff member. This temporary role extends until the culmination of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored 1:1 assistance to a highly dysregulated child within a SEND school environment.
  • Work closely with a fellow staff member to ensure the child's needs are effectively addressed.
  • Apply Team-Teach methodologies and tactics to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Support the child's educational and personal growth, respecting their unique needs and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with SEND children is vital.
  • Possession of Team-Teach training certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a team.
  • Preferred experience with non-verbal children.
  • Proficiency in English language.
