The Role

Ready to make a meaningful impact to the lives of others? Join us as a Restart Business Manager in our Folkestone office where you will manage a team of Employment Advisors, Employment Skills Trainers, and Local Recruitment Consultants in the provision of services to support jobseekers into employment.

What are we looking for?

We're searching for an outstanding People Manager who can boost team performance, productivity, and wellbeing. The Business Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the team operates smoothly and effectively, acting as a central point of connection between all key roles involved in guiding customers toward sustained employment. You will need to demonstrate;

  • The ability to achieve targets and drive performance.
  • Previous experience in People Management (supporting, coaching, and developing others).
  • The ability to problem solve and overcome barriers.
  • Show "Customer First" values and drive them amongst your teams.


Previous experience of supporting people with a range of barriers into work is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from all candidates who are passionate about changing the lives of others.

Who We Are

Here at PeoplePlus, we deliver the Restart Scheme on behalf of the DWP in Kent, the North East, and Wales.

The Scheme gives enhanced support for eligible claimants to find jobs, along with personalised support including health and wellbeing advice and a tailored action plan.

Our support ensures that individuals are ready for the right job at the right time. In the first year of the scheme PeoplePlus supported ?nearly 15,000 people in their search for fresh employment, with nearly 4,000 starting work. We also provide up to 12 months of support for the individual once they have started work.
