Our client is a reputable residential care service located in Redditch, committed to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). Their 4-bedded service offers a nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive and reach their full potential.

They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join their passionate team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing leadership and support to the team, ensuring the highest standards of care and wellbeing for the children and young people in the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to the staff.
  • Support and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child and young person.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment within the residential service.
  • Liaise with external professionals and agencies to ensure the holistic needs of the children and young people are met.
  • Act as a positive role model for staff and young people, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
  • Complete on call duties on a rota basis.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Children and Young People or working towards.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people with EBD in a residential setting.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to residential childcare.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Flexibility to fit on a rota basis- including sleep in’s.
