We are currently looking to recruit a team assistant to work in our Wealth Preservation team on a 12-month fixed term basis based full time in our Peterborough office.

We have a large and highly regarded Wealth Preservation team who advise a wide range of clients from individuals, trustees, landowners, and business owners who may have assets in the UK or abroad. We support our clients with some of the most daunting and important decisions they will make; from drafting a Will or Lasting Power of Attorney to Estate Administration and are committed to delivering excellent client service, taking the time to understand client requirements, and providing bespoke solutions to complex situations.

You will play an integral part in support the Wealth Preservation team by providing proactive and professional legal administration support, working with every member of the team to ensure that the Wealth Preservation department’s overall non-chargeable administrative needs are met.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing documents, letters, emails, and attendance notes, coordinating changes required
  • Ensuring documents are filed onto our case management system.
  • Monitoring reminder databases & notifying relevant team members or client e.g. 'Certainty’5-yearr Will reminders.
  • Preparing engrossments, preparing bundles and binding.
  • Drafting of basic Wills, LPAs, and Court of Protection applications; and completion of forms relating to tax i.e. Inheritance Tax.
  • Undertaking regular reviews of files, checking account balances to ensure that all files which are not current are archived.
  • Retrieving files and deeds from storage as required.
  • Diary management includes arranging meetings and appointments, both internally and externally, and all related correspondence.#
  • Providing reception cover in the Peterborough office as required

This role will suit someone who has at least 1 years’ experience gained from working in a busy Wealth Preservation department in a law firm. You will possess exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and stay calm under pressure. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, as well as being a great communicator to engage with our clients, internal and external stakeholders is required.

Hours:

37.5 hours Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm.
