Teaching assistants wanted in Accrington area for KS3/KS4

We're currently seeking a dynamic teaching assistant to join us in Accrington, offering crucial support to teachers and students across KS3 and KS4. Compensation for this role ranges from £85 to £90 daily, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching capacity.

In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in providing crucial support to both students and teachers within the secondary school setting. Collaborating closely with educators, your main objective is to cultivate a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that fosters academic and social growth for all students

Responsibilities:

• Reading, writing and SPAG support.
• Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
• Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
• To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
• To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
• To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
• Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
• To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
• Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.

Requirements:

• Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
• Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
• Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
• Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
• TA qualified.
