We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work with Key Stage 2 aged children in local primary schools. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning journeys through small group interventions or one-to-one work. Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning and understanding of the curriculum.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor students’ progress and provide feedback.
• Implement strategies to engage students and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
• Facilitate communication between students and teachers, ensuring that individual student needs are addressed.
• Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching assistant role (ideally key stage 2) or similar educational support position.
• Strong understanding of primary school curriculum and educational best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
