Teaching Assistants - Pru - Lichfield

Hays are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to provide support within a PRU school based in Lichfield where you will be supporting students who have been referred either as a direct result of permanent exclusion from school or as a preventative measure.
Your new role

• You will be providing support to young people who may display some challenging behaviours.
• You will work closely with the teaching staff to provide targeted support and guidance for students.
• 1:1 or group work with students who require additional support
• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
• Leading group work
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
• We have a number of roles available both full time and part time and short term or long term bookings.

What you'll need to succeed

• previous experience working with students within a PRU is desirable but not essential.
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with both students and colleagues.
• patience and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.

Working with Hays, you will receive a daily pay rate between £85 - £95 depending on school booking. You will have also have a dedicated consultant to provide ongoing support from the point of registering and throughout your time working with us.
