Prospero Teaching is looking for an attentive and encouraging teaching assistant to work in EYFS in an Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Garstang. The position is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year. The school welcomes applications from Teaching Assistants with experience in EYFS and KS1 but would ideally like to appoint a TA who has worked in EYFS before. They are looking for a TA with good curriculum knowledge, and a creative, innovative approach, who can maintain the children's enthusiasm for learning. A strong, sanguine style of behaviour management is essential, and the school particularly like people who go above and beyond to build good relationships with the children, and make them feel safe, valued, and confident in their learning.

The school has high expectations of the children. Staff work hard to maintain high-quality provision in school, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children. Both experienced teaching assistants and those who have recently qualified/graduates are welcome to apply for this position.

The successful applicant will be:

• Experienced with the UK EYFS curriculum

The successful Candidate may have the following:

• Teaching Assistant level 2+
• A degree or relevant A-levels is preferred but not essential
• UK classroom experience in EYFS
• Good Phonics knowledge
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• References covering the last 2 years
• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the online update service or be prepared to process a new one at a cost of £45.
