Teaching Assistant - Bolton - September start

Prospero Teaching are supporting a secondary school in Bolton who are recruiting for an experienced teaching assistant to join the team from September. The role is full time and will initially be until Christmas, but could be extended.

This particular role will be to support students who are struggling learning in the classroom. Therefore you will be working in the exclusion unit to support the students with their work but to also try to eventually reintegrate them back into the classroom. The students will have various needs, such as ADHD, Autism, SEMH or PTSD and many of the students also have an EHCP. You will need to be able to build strong relationships with the students you work with and have a genuine passion to see them succeed. This role will have difficulties at times but will also be extremely rewarding.

The ideal candidate:

A recent graduate who wants work experience within Special Educational Needs
Experience of supporting students with additional needs
Experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting
Strong teamwork ethic
Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs
reliable, consistent and caring

The role will consist of:

Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs
Creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn and succeed
Academic support

Position Details:

LOCATION Bolton
POSITION Teaching Assistant
MINIMUM DAILY RATE GBP100 per day
HOURS Full time Monday Friday 8.30am -4pm
START DATE - September

To be considered for this role, you will have to register with Prospero Teaching and complete an enhanced Child DBS which is on the update service, unless you already have one.
