Accelerate Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Wakefield. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting them with classwork and assignments.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
  • Assist with classroom management, helping to maintain discipline and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Help to assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a educational setting is essential.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting students' diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are desirable but not essential.
