Academics are currently recruiting for experienced and qualified SEN Teaching Assistants for flexible supply opportunities within our partnership schools across Caerphilly Borough.

Whether you're in search of day-to-day casual supply work or a long-term placement, we have a diverse range of opportunities for you to explore throughout Primary schools in the Caerphilly area. These part time and full time opportunities allow flexibility and are a great way to experience new schools and upskill as a SEN Teaching Assistant. These roles could also lead to more long-term and permanent roles within our schools.

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant with Academics, you will:

  • Hold the relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (CACHE L1/2/3).
  • Have excellent knowledge and understanding of additional needs within an educational setting (ASD, ADHD etc).
  • Be available to work during usual school hours (8:30am - 3:30pm) and easily commute across the Caerphilly Borough.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support children across Foundation Phase, KS1 and KS2.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS that is currently registered with the update service. Alternatively, you will be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with our assistance.
  • Registration with the EWC or be willing to apply.
