Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Newham, London

Role: 1:1 Support for Student with Behavioral Difficulties in Mainstream Classes

We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their challenges. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to a student with behavioral difficulties within mainstream classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support to a student with behavioral difficulties, ensuring their inclusion and participation in mainstream classes.
  • Implementing individualized strategies and interventions to support the student's academic and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring the student's progress and behavior, and communicating regularly with parents and caregivers.
  • Assisting with classroom management and implementing behavior management techniques as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with behavioral difficulties or special educational needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students facing challenges.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
