Academics LTD are currently working with this fantastic Primary school based in the central part of Westminster on London. The school has a brilliant reputation for excellent academic results and brilliant pastoral care where no children are left behind. Children attending the school with SEN and barriers to learning make good progress due to high quality teaching and the excellent relationships built with visiting professionals who support their needs. The Headteacher is ready to interview and appoint an experienced teaching assistant with ideally at least six months experience working with children with SEN to work with one of their children in Year 3 with complex needs.

Full training will be provided to work with child, but previous experience working with children with SEMH and de-escalation techniques would be advantageous. The child is currently working steadily with their current TA who is leaving for further training. He is friendly and articulate and can work to a high standard. This role would suit a Teaching Assistant who is diligent, positive and can make learning fun. You will need to be able to communicate to a high standard both verbally and in writing and be emotionally intelligent.

In return you will be working with a fantastic team of education staff who share best practice and support each other. The child is funny and smart and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on his school life next year. The child's parents are very supportive of the school and their work with their son. If you are looking for a role to further your in school experience prior to further training before applying for teacher or educational psychologist training this would be a brilliant place to work.

Interviews will be arranged for May, so please get in touch today with a copy of your CV to make arrangements to meet the Headteacher!
