We are supporting a vibrant and inclusive primary school with a specialised SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) unit attached to a mainstream primary school.

Their dedicated team is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child, regardless of their challenges, can thrive academically and emotionally.

As a Teaching Assistant in this SEND unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting children from Reception to Year 6with a diverse range of additional needs. From Autism to Speech and Language Difficulties, your dedication will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Can you...

  • Collaborate with class Teachers to implement tailored support strategies for individual students.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with various learning challenges.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support the emotional and social well-being of students, promoting a sense of belonging.

Are you, a...

  • Compassionate and patient nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.

And do you have the...

  • Willingness to undergo training and professional development
  • Ability to adapt and tailor support to meet individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with SEND.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment.
