Your new school

Hays Education are seeking an experienced and committed specialist Teaching Assistant who can support a pupil on a one-to-one basis. The right Teaching Assistant will be working one-to-one with a pupil, who is currently displaying the following needs:

- Autism
- Challenging and disruptive behaviour
- Verbally and occasionally physically aggressive

Your new role

Due to the nature of this position, the school require somebody with a strong background in supporting pupils with ASD (Autism) or those with challenging behaviours. The school will consider applications from Psychology Graduates with placement experience in ASD settings. It is important that you have a calm but firm and stable approach when working with pupils.

The school is based in Manchester and is a larger than average 2 form entry Primary School. They have a strong SEN team in place, with support and training provided as appropriate to support you in your role
