Accelerate Teaching, a leading educational agency, is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Kirklees. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities, this opportunity is for you!

Role Overview:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND in classroom settings.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the overall pastoral care and well-being of students with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students' learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related field (desirable but not essential).
