Teaching Assistant
The successful Teaching Assistant will have previous experience of providing classroom support to pupils aged 11 - 16. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work with pupils on a 121 and small group basis. It is important for the appointed Teaching Assistant to have good interpersonal skills, you will be liaising between staff and students on a regular basis. Some of the key duties of a Teaching Assistant are to help prepare the classroom, tidying the classroom after a lesson and helping the class teacher with any resources.
The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant that are engaging, proactive and confident. It will be your responsibility as the Teaching Assistant to ensure that the pupils you work with complete the work set to the best of their ability and discuss any learning concerns with the class teacher.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience in a secondary school
- The ability to work as a Teaching Assistant on a 121 and small group basis
- A passion for ensuring pupils fulfil their maximum potential
