Are you dedicated to supporting students with SEN needs? Smart Education is collaborating with a SEN School serving individuals aged 11 to 19 with ASD, MLD, SLD, and SEMH. We're seeking a dynamic Teaching Assistant to nurture a positive learning environment.

Core Purpose: To provide personalised support to students, foster overall student wellbeing, assist in teaching for engagement and achievement, and continuously adapt resources to meet diverse needs.

Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, you will support student activities, literacy, and numeracy, build rapport, and contribute to educational plans. Additionally, you will promote social and emotional growth, ensure student safety and wellbeing, and collaborate with professionals while adhering to care plans.

Support for the Teacher:

Report on student progress and contribute to planning.

Maintain an optimal learning environment and manage behaviour.

Offer administrative assistance.

Requirements:

GCSEs Grade C or above in English and Maths.

Familiarity with Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures.

Experience working with SEN and challenging behaviour.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compassionate and composed demeanour.

Qualifications Required: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) + SEN experience

Salary: £84.16 - £88.19 per day

Hours:  Monday – Friday (8.45am – 3.30pm)

Location: Selly Oak
