Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Southport

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £90 - £100 per day

Prospero Teaching are currently working with a fantastic school who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school in the Sefton area to work on a 1:1 basis.

The post requires a passionate Teaching Assistant who can take the lead in supporting the child's personal targets and promoting positive behaviour.

Applicants must have either least NQV level 2 qualified or have a minimum of 6 months experience working with young children. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with Prospero Teaching. Registration involves an enhanced DBS check, ID checks.

The role will include:

  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Working with students who require specialist support
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
