This College is a dynamic and inclusive special school that caters to young people aged 11 to 19.  This role is support a new year 7 boy starting school on 15th April who will need an experienced and ideally qualified SEND / ASD 1:1.

He has an EHCP for ASD (at the more extreme end of the spectrum), speech, language and communication needs, multi-sensory impairment, fine and motor skill difficulty and moderate learning difficulty.

He will not be able to access the standard curriculum with the rest of his class so the 1:1 will need to be able to interpret and adapt the lessons to his specific needs.

They will need to understand SEND strategy and sensory needs and know how to use visual aids, graphic organiser, speech and language resources, chunking exercises.
