Teaching Assistant

Your new role
An outstanding primary school based in Liverpool is looking to appoint a qualified Teaching Assistant to work within their Reception / Year 1 classes supporting Phonics. You will have the chance to join a high-achieving team, and challenge themselves and the pupils to progress their reading age and overall literacy skills.

This primary school has created this post for a dynamic Teaching Assistant to work exclusively on supporting phonics on a small group basis in the morning and will work as a general TA in the afternoons.

What you'll need to succeed

• The successful Teaching Assistant will have at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent,
• The ability to work under your own initiative
• Experience of working with phonics would be advantageous.
• Good numeracy and Literacy Skills
• Working alongside children with SEN/behavioural difficulties is desirable.
