A mainstream secondary school in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-run establishment with experienced staff, providing support to children who require additional help with reading, writing, and task management.

Day to Day of the role:

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.

Ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and appropriate for student use.

Assist in the preparation and tidying up of activities.

Develop a rapport with children to maintain an optimal learning environment.

Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and accurately.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A genuine desire to work with children with special educational needs.

A caring, compassionate, and resilient nature.

A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to take initiative.

A requirement for a DBS check (assistance provided if necessary).

Not barred from working with children.

GCSE grades A*-C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
