An opportunity has arisen for you to join a local SEN school as a specialist Teaching Assistant. Our partner school help care for and support young people who have varying complex needs and specialise in the communication and learning challenges associated with Autism.

Every day will be different, but you will have all the support you need, with lots of skills and experience to draw on along with valuable advice and guidance too.

  • Starting ASAP or from April 2024 
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30
  • Temporary to Permanent; Term Time only
  • Permanent salary: £18,832.35 to £21,051.96 per annum
  • Part Time hours will be considered

The site is situated within Norfolk’s picturesque and tranquil countryside, close to the towns of Attleborough and Wymondham. Due to the location, it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. Each individual has a diagnosis of Autism and may have additional needs. They have so much potential, and they will rely on you to guide their learning journeys bespoke to them.

You will:

  • Help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too.
  • Take responsibility for their emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world.
  • Face challenges and overcome them as you flourish and thrive, sharing your skills and learning from others as your career takes you as high as you always dreamed you could go.

The aim of the school is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil’s potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. To provide young people with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.
