SEMH Teaching Assistant's - Southampton - ASAP Start!

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a successful Pupil Referral Unit in Southampton who deliver a range of services to children aged 5 - 16 years across Southampton. They are looking for passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to join them ASAP on a full-time, temp to perm contract.

They are a specialist Alternative Provision for pupils who require additional support who because of exclusion or other reasons, would not otherwise access education in a mainstream school. They provide personalised learning opportunities in a supportive environment that enables pupils to either return to full-time education in a mainstream school, or support the transition to the most appropriate setting to meet their needs.

You will be supporting the teachers in class, and working with students on a 1:1 basis. Although not essential, having experience of working with children with SEN or challenging behaviours would be an advantage.
