As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of students with special needs. Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their specific learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to ensure personalised learning experiences.
  • Support classroom management and help maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Prepare and adapt teaching materials to accommodate the diverse needs of students.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Caring and empathetic personality.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
