Teaching Assistant Level 3

  • Pay Rate: £15.09 per hour
  • Location: Ormskirk
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Working Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

A welcoming school in Ormskirk is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work in a reception class, so previous experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is essential. If you have a passion for supporting young learners and a desire to contribute to their educational journey, we would love to hear from you.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Supporting the reception class teacher in delivering educational activities and structured play.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of engaging learning experiences for EYFS pupils.
  • Providing one-to-one support and small group interventions as needed.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive learning experiences.
  • Observing and recording children’s progress, sharing insights with the class teacher.
  • Assisting with the management of classroom resources and organisation.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), if applicable, and working closely with the SENCO to implement individual learning plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Childcare and Education.
  • Proven EYFS experience and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Experience working with children who have SEN is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
