Engage Education are currently working with a number of schools in the Leeds/Pudsey area in need of a compassionate, dedicated and patient teaching assistant to work 1:1 with children with special educational needs (SEN).

Starting immediately at Easter, the school is looking for someone to work on a full time temporary basis. If the role goes well, there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent assignment.

The role would consist of working with a range of needs including complex learning difficulties, ASD, Autism, ADHD and communication and language issues.

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including education and health and social care.

Your Role:

  • Assist pupils with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and other complex needs.
  • Manage challenging behaviour positively.
  • Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children with a range of needs.
  • Maintain the safeguarding of young people.

  • To be able to form strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff.
