SEND Teaching Assistant September 2024 Start - Erdington

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a full time role working with children with additional needs?

The school I am recruiting for are based in Erdington and are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 supporting a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis. They need support with their social skills and forming relationships with their peers as well as keeping focused on their schoolwork.

The setting has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs, putting support in place such as 1:1 support and a resource base for children with additional needs. Feedback from staff working within the setting is always good and they describe the school as extremely supportive.

If you feel that you could offer this child the support they need then please get in touch.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold a minimum of a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience working 1:1

I am keen to talk to anyone that holds the relevant qualifications for immediate starts. Please apply now and I will be in touch.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.

* Support a child with Autism 1:1
* Support the class teacher with daily activities
* Assess achievements of pupil.
* Ensure the student can access the curriculum

This is an excellent opportunity. I can offer very good rates of pay and I will be available 24/7 for you should you need my help with anything.

I am keen to talk to teachers who are interested in this role. If this is the job for you, please apply above and I will be in touch.
