We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teacher to join our team at a Special Needs School in Wakefield. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who have a diverse range of needs and to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student is making meaningful progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to supporting students with special needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular meetings and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to differentiate instruction accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for inclusion and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of every student.
