Accelerate Teaching, an esteemed educational agency dedicated to fostering academic excellence, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of History to join our team at a prestigious Secondary School in Wakefield. About the Role:

As a Teacher of History, you will have the opportunity to engage and enlighten young minds, bringing the past to life in innovative and captivating ways. Your role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering stimulating history lessons that ignite curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
  • Utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular connections and enrich the learning experience.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in History or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
  • A genuine passion for history and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning in young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The creativity and adaptability to engage students in meaningful historical inquiry and analysis.
